What We Do
The Market
Our journey began in late 2020 when we had outgrown a structurally unsound small building to serve the more than 700% increase in customers due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We found a run-down market off of 410 that we saw a vision for our new facility. With a long-term lease, we conducted a relocation campaign and received generous donations from the community to remodel.
Our new facility is inviting and welcoming. It looks and 'feels' like a metropolitan market. A grocery-store, choice model, provides our customers with a dignified shopping experience. We have created an open and inviting space for our customers to shop. Our dedicated staff and volunteers welcome and greet each customer as they shop through a grocery-store choice model.
We provide nutritious foods that include fresh produce, dairy, meats, proteins, and nonperishable items and ensure that
culturally-represented and dietary need foods are also available for our customers.
We purchase much of our fresh food from local farmers and producers, to further support the economic health of our community.
