Lakewold Gardens

Who We Are

Located in Lakewood, Washington, Lakewold is a 10 acre non-profit garden open to the public. Also a National Historic Site, our garden offers master landscape architecture, distinctive formal gardens featuring botanical collections, and woodland gardens on the shore of Gravelly Lake. You'll find rare and native plants, State Champion trees, over 900 rhododendrons, a large collection of Japanese maples, a Georgian-style mansion, and statuary from around the world.

The property, first purchased in 1908, was developed into a unique garden landscape over the next 90 years. Eulalie Wagner, owner of the estate since 1938, donated the property to the care of our non-profit in 1987 to preserve the gardens for future generations to enjoy.
