Communities In Schools of Peninsula

Who We Are

Communities In Schools of Peninsula (CISP) is a rural non-profit organization serving children and families located within the boundaries of Peninsula School District. Incorporated in 2000, CISP serves the Gig Harbor/Key Peninsula/Port Orchard areas, with an emphasis on school populations that have the most need.

What We Do

We are part of the nation's leading dropout prevention organization, Communities In Schools of Peninsula (CISP). Our mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.

CISP is serving 11 schools in the Peninsula School District and 5 schools in the South Kitsap School District with a goal to serve more. Together with community partners, we ensure every student, regardless of race, zip code, or socioeconomic background, has what they need to realize their potential in school by connecting students to caring adults and community resources that help them see, confront, and overcome the barriers that stand between them and a brighter future.
