Child Care Resources

Child Care Resources was founded in 1990 to ensure that every family in King County can find safe, quality and affordable child care that meets their unique needs and honors their children. Today, we are the only local organization working with families, early learning professionals and community partners to ensure that every child is ready for school. Our position in the early learning field is distinctive, and includes our capacity to deliver services in over 200 languages as well as being the first agency in the state to offer child care referrals to parents online.

CCR operates the Child Care Aware of Washington Family Center, which helps families statewide find care that fits their needs, provides tools to understand the link between quality care and school readiness, helps parents find ways to pay for care and delivers enhanced services for families who are homeless or have children with special needs. CCR also supports licensed childcare providers in King and Pierce Counties to develop quality early learning programs with training, technical assistance and coaching.
