Since its humble beginnings in 1994, the Gig Harbor Thanksgiving Basket Brigade has grown to deliver nearly 27,000 Thanksgiving meals over the past 31 years.
Annually, the Basket Brigade packages and delivers about 800 to 1,000 Thanksgiving baskets to area families in need in several Pierce County communities, including Gig Harbor, Key Peninsula, Tacoma, University Place, Lakewood, Fife, as well as South Kitsap County communities (Olalla, Port Orchard and Bremerton), and to military families at Joint Base Lewis-McChord and Naval Base Kitsap.
Across the two-day operation more than 450 volunteers come together to make it all happen!
Whether you’d like to help pick-up and transport supplies to the packing site, stock, decorate or fill boxes, or deliver baskets to local families, there's a role for everyone to make a difference.
