Emergency Food Network is hosting the 38th annual Hunger Walk & 5K Run at Fort Steilacoom Park! Participants will walk around Waughop Lake or run in a chip-timed 5K. Family-friendly activities and live music are also provided at the start/finish line. Proceeds from this event benefit EFN, a local non-profit that distributes more than 14 million pounds of food annually to 71 food pantries, meal sites, and shelters in Pierce County.
To help make the Hunger Walk & 5K Run a success, more than 50 volunteer positions are available to assist with:
- Route Set Up
- Registration
- First Aid Station
- Kid Zone
- Course Spirit
