For 31 years, the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) has conducted an annual nationwide food drive, collecting non-perishable food donations along postal routes. In Pierce County, EFN works closely with Union Branch 130 to collect more than 200,000 pounds of food for our neighbors in need in one day!
- We need drivers to lighten the load for our mail carriers by driving along a specified route and picking up food donations left by mailboxes.
- Drivers must be over the age of 18 and have a vehicle to pick up donations.
- This works best in pairs so that one volunteer can drive, while the other loads donations.
- We kindly ask that you commit to at least two hours of driving and pick up support, if possible, between the hours of 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.
This is our largest food drive event each year, helping us to supply food pantries throughout Pierce County with shelf stable foods!
