Blackberry attack on the Mashel River!

Calendar Happens On Sep 27, 2017
Time 9 AM - 12 PM
Expired

Description

Invasive plants sure are a pain! Want to help fight the good fight against them? Join us at our Mashel River protected area to help control Himalayan blackberry!

This 254-acre protected area includes a reach of the Mashel River that is critical habitat for Chinook salmon and steelhead trout. Removing blackberry here will allow native plants to thrive and restore the natural forest ecosystem.

Interested? Contact volunteer coordinator Addie Schlussel at volunteer@nisquallylandtrust.org, or RSVP by clicking here.

For a full list of upcoming events, see our calendar.

Thanks, and we hope to see you there!
