Come out to the Nisqually Land Trust's Powell Creek protected area for a morning of weed control!
After months of relentless volunteer work, the blackberry and Scotch broom-pulling seasons are finally drawing to a close. However, there is still one more chance to kick these weeds to the curb! Powell Creek protected area contains over 450 acres, including fallow pastures that are being reforested. We will be working in these pastures, removing the invasive blackberry and Scotch broom that compete with the native trees that we have planted.
