REACH Ministries is looking for compassionate volunteers to support elderly participants and individuals with mobility challenges during our REACH Getaways.
Companion Volunteers help ensure every participant feels included, supported, and connected throughout the weekend. Volunteers may assist participants walking between buildings, getting to meals and activities, carrying small items, and most importantly — offering friendship and conversation.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys one-on-one connection, listening, and helping others feel comfortable and cared for.
Responsibilities
- Walk alongside participants between buildings
- Help participants get to meals, activities, and events
- Provide companionship and conversation
- Assist with light mobility support
- Help participants feel welcomed and included
Requirements
- Compassionate and patient personality
- Comfortable walking around camp grounds
- Volunteer application and training required
- TB test/background screening may be required depending on role

Spring Getaway - April 2-4, 2027
Lodging, meals, snacks, and volunteer support are provided throughout the weekend.
