Description

St. Leo Food Bank is one of the largest food banks in Pierce County currently serving between 200-300 families daily. We are currently looking for more volunteers to help with supporting our food bank, by greeting and escorting clients, processing donations, and helping unload trucks and lifting. We are open for volunteering Monday-Saturday starting everyday at 8:30AM. We ask that all volunteers be over the age of 16 to come unsupervised, but all ages under 16 are welcome to volunteer with direct supervision by a parent or guardian. Volunteer groups are allowed, but we ask that groups be a maximum of 10 people. A short training/orientation will happen before volunteering. We ask that individuals and groups volunteer with us a minimum of 1.5 hours, so they have time to be oriented, get to know what we do, and enough time to complete a project or help with a food line shift.
