At the Mid-County Community Center, we help close to one thousand seniors a year and provide over 25,000 individual services to them. By volunteering to help as a mealsite volunteer you will be helping at one of Pierce County's highest attended and most Impactful senior mealsite programs. Your tasks will include assisting in table set-up, service of our multi-course plated lunch from kitchen to table, pouring beverages, cleaning-up, and putting away table & chairs after the meal is finished. Our lunch program serves 40-120 seniors daily depending on the day and/or special event. Our volunteer Board of Directors lead our almost 50 year organization as we continue to be a leader in providing support and services at our nonprofit senior center. Our board members help to ensure the organization meets our mission, runs in a fiscally responsible manner, and leads our fundraising efforts. We have immediate openings for Vice-President, Secretary, and At Large Members. Typically expect 1 hour of your time per week; occasionally it may be more when there is a board meeting or "FUN" fundraising activities being organized.
