Who We Are
Cougs 4 Kids is a youth empowerment program of Believe in Me, a Washington-based nonprofit dedicated to helping young people overcome barriers and build pathways to opportunity. We focus on supporting youth through mentorship, leadership development, and practical resources that strengthen confidence, belonging, and future readiness. Through initiatives like Camp Coug and our MentorBoost Kits, we bring together community partners, educators, and volunteers to surround young people with encouragement, real-world exposure, and meaningful support. Our work is rooted in the belief that every young person deserves to feel seen, supported, and capable of achieving their goals—and that strong communities are built when we show up for youth together.
What We Do
Cougs 4 Kids creates hands-on experiences and support systems that help young people build confidence, leadership skills, and connections to opportunity. Through programs like Camp Coug, we provide college and career exposure, mentorship, and community-based learning that helps youth see new possibilities for their future. We also assemble and distribute MentorBoost Kits—care packages filled with encouragement, practical items, and resource connections—to extend support beyond events. By bringing together volunteers, educators, and community partners, we create environments where young people feel a sense of belonging and are equipped with tools to take their next steps forward.
