We are a passionate community of advocates, caregivers, patients, scientists, volunteers, and donors—united by a shared commitment to improve the lives of those affected by ALS and to find a cure.
What We Do
The ALS Association leads the way in the fight against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a progressive neurodegenerative disease. We work to discover treatments and a cure for ALS while ensuring that people living with the disease receive compassionate care and support.
Our mission is carried out through:
Advocacy: Fighting for policies that improve the lives of people with ALS and their families.
Care Services: Providing critical support, equipment, and resources to individuals living with ALS.
Research: Funding groundbreaking scientific studies to discover treatments and ultimately a cure.
Community: Uniting people across the country to raise awareness, funds, and hope through events like the Walk to Defeat ALS.
Together, we are working toward a world without ALS.
