Fife Milton Community Food bank

Who We Are

We are one of the original FISH food banks in the state. In 1992 the food bank was moved to its current location with 4 volunteers serving 50 families per month; today we have 45 volunteers serving more than 600 families (over 3,000 individuals) per month. We have continued the FISH banks' tradition of providing special holiday bags of food for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. Our Mission is to provide easy access to a nutritionally balanced supply of food for anyone experiencing food insecurity. We feed anyone who comes to our door for assistance. Our Vision is that working with local citizens, businesses, schools, and St. Martin of Tours Church in partnership with local, state and national agencies to eliminate food insecurity in the Fife Milton area. We strive to have as great an impact as possible to improve the health well-being of all those living in our area.

What We Do

We deliver food and service while respecting the dignity of those seeking help. We conduct food rescues from 4 sources in the community and cooperate with citizens, schools, businesses, and agencies to conduct food drives and solicit financial support for the food bank. We have received grants to purchase digital equipment that enables us to more efficiently provide reports to supporters, agencies and the community decision makers. We work with local schools to allow student volunteers to help at the food bank, providing them their required community service. We also work with police and the courts to allow citizens who need to do community service in lieu of paying civil fines.
