Who We Are

NW Furniture Bank helps restore hope, dignity and stability in our community by recycling donated furniture to people in need. Willing furniture store partners and local donations provide a steady source of furniture which would otherwise end up in the dump or sold at a loss. We serve victims of domestic abuse, people suffering loss from fire and natural disasters, foster homes and especially families coming from transitional housing who are trying to rebuild their lives.

Currently Seeking:

- Furniture Bank Shopping Assistants - work directly with the clients accessing the furniture bank. Be a friendly face to make the unfamiliar process of furniture bank less stressful. Shifts available Tuesday-Saturday mid-day (10a-2p)

 

What We Do

The NW Furniture Bank mission is to help restore hope, dignity and stability in our community by recycling donated furniture to people in need. 

NW Furniture Bank turns an empty house into a home by providing at-risk families the basics like: a bed to sleep in, table & chairs to eat at, sofas to relax on, pots & pans to cook with and towels for bathing.

Before coming to the NW Furniture Bank:

  • Over 80 % of clients report sleeping or eating on the floor
  • Over 70% had no usable furniture
  • Over 80% state they could not have bought furniture without the help of NW Furniture Bank

 Three programs contribute to NW Furniture Bank mission:

  Furniture Bank

* Provides furniture and household goods to hundreds of  families each month from all over the region.
* All furniture is donated
* Families are referred by social service agencies and community partners

  Spring Back Mattress Recycling

* Recycles thousands of mattresses per month
* Pieces meeting strict quality standards can be distributed through the Furniture Bank 

  Hope Furnishings

* Retail store selling new, unique, and vintage furniture and décor
* Proceeds benefit the NW Furniture Bank Program
