Hi everyone! Can you believe it's already planting season?
The Nisqually Land Trust and Nisqually River Education Project need your help to plant over 2,000 native trees and shrubs at Lackamas Flats. These trees and shrubs will help restore critical habitat in the beautiful Nisqually Watershed.
These planting dates take place at our Lackamas Flats Protected Area, which is located near Yelm. Over the past years we have been working to restore this are of the Nisqually shoreline which was previously used for homes and agriculture. Bring your family, friends, or service group for a meaningful and fun opportunity!
On many of the planting dates, there are morning shifts and afternoon shifts. Feel free to sign up for as many shifts as you'd like! Register through Eventbrite here!
We will have COVID-19 safety protocols in place such as 6+ foot distancing and masks when we are gathered as a group. Bring your own gloves! We can't wait to see you there!
If you have any questions, send Maya an email at maya@nisquallylandtrust.org.
Thanks, and we hope to see you soon! Register here!
