Description

Emergency Food Network distributes 16 million pounds of nutritious food annually to 70 food banks, meal sites, and shelters in Pierce County. Part of this food comes from our 8-acre organic Mother Earth Farm. The farm is home to more than 80 types of fruits and vegetables, 5 bee hives, and 10 chickens.

Volunteers assist with every aspect of the farm from seeding to weeding to harvesting under the direction of two farm managers.

Volunteer opportunities are available every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with morning, afternoon, and full-day sessions. View upcoming dates on EFN's Volunteer Calendar at www.efoodnet.org. Large groups can be accommodated. Families are welcome. Registration is required.
