Come out to the Nisqually Land Trust's Hogum Bay Creek protected area for a morning of tree tube removal!
When we plant trees or shrubs, we install plastic tubes around the plants to give them the best chance of survival. Once the seedlings become established, we remove the tubes, creating space for the plants to grow.
For this work party, you can expect over a mile of walking on uneven ground through forest and shallow wetland looking for tubes. Bring your muck boots!
