Description

Our Ready, Set, Read-Tacoma! program is an early childhood literacy program designed to help prepare children for kindergarten in Tacoma Public Schools. This program is introduces children over the age of 3 to early literacy and STEAM concepts and is offered for free to families with children in the community. Help the program in a variety of ways:

Administrative Assistant: Help our Coordinator with prize distribution, public outreach events, phone calls and data entry. You’d be able to do this at any time, for however long.

Library Assistant: Checking in/out books, reshelving, data entry. You’d set your own times for this task.

Classroom Storyteller: You’d go in on their schedule, this is about a 30 minute time commitment at the school of your choice.

Language Specialist: Native speakers in other languages can help us by conducting a storytime in their native language or helping us expand or review our book collection in other languages.
