Communities In Schools of Tacoma is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to inspire students to grow their math skills!
Stewart Middle school serves students aged 11-14, many of whom are below grade level in math and need help to complete math assignments. Math coaches help students one-on-one after school, keeping them motivated and on-task so that they can complete their math homework. We are looking for caring adults who can help students stay motivated and coach them through their math homework.
(Mon.- Thur.) 2:45- 4:30 pm
Due to Governor Inslee's amended proclamation 21-14.1, all District employees, including on-site volunteers and contractors are required to be fully vaccinated by October 18. You will be required to submit proof of vaccination or request an exemption along with your volunteer application form.
Schools are also implementing a number of other COVID-19 safety measures to protect students, employees, and volunteers. Masks are required to be worn in the building at all times. Social distancing of 3 feet is also currently in effect.
