Who We Are

Trinity’s Outreach Mission:

Initiating and cultivating transformational relationships that model hope through education, relief, and community development in the heart of Tacoma.  

What We Do

Trinity Outreach Programs are a visible expression of Trinity Presbyterian Church’s commitment to the Bryant Neighborhood. 

The Trinity Learning Center:  Monday - Friday, 3:00 – 5:30 – The Learning Center exists on site at Jason Lee middle school to assist middle school students each day with homework help, study skills, teacher advocacy, and adult mentoring. 

TAP (Trinity Afterschool Program):  Monday - Friday, 3:30-4:30pm – TAP facilitates one-on-one literacy assistance with first and second graders from Bryant Montessori.  Students commit to this year-long program at the invitation of Bryant’s teachers and our TAP staff.  

Tony’s Kitchen:  Fridays, 1:00-2:00pm - Tony’s Kitchen provides “Soup and Conversation” for guests who come through, in the form of freshly made soup, bread, and an assortment of drinks and desserts that our staff provide on a weekly basis. 

Pat’s Closet:  Thursdays, 5:00 –7:00pm & Fridays, 1:00–3:00pm - Pat’s Closet is located in Trinity’s basement, and provides neighborhood residents with new and used clothing and household items that are donated each week from individuals all over Tacoma.  

The Trinity Neighborhood Clinic:  Tuesdays, 5:00-7:00pm – The Medical Clinic is open to anyone without medical insurance.  Volunteer doctors and nurses are available weekly to assist patients with a variety of medical concerns ranging from flu shots and sports physicals to diabetes help and prescription refills.

Front Door Ministry:  Open During Trinity Office Hours – The Front Door Ministry assists our neighbors in the 98405 zip code with basic needs like bus fare, rent or utility assistance, and resource sharing.
